ProColor Collision Brings Advanced Collision Repair Services to Pickering

ProColor Pickering owner Surais ‘Sam’ Samlal launches family’s traditional automotive business into the big league with advanced collision repair facility.

MILTON (Ontario), March 2, 2021: Daryll O’Keefe, Regional Vice President-Ontario for Fix Network, has welcomed owner operator Surais ‘Sam’ Samlal and his team at ProColor Collision Pickering to the Fix Network family, making it the 8th ProColor Collision location in Ontario.

Earlier known as JSR Collision Centre Ltd, ProColor Collision Pickering is a full-service collision repair facility that has built a strong reputation in the region for offering high-quality auto body repair services and paint correction. The shop is a reflection of owner-operator Surais ‘Sam’ Samlal’s keenness to radically transform his family-owned automotive business into a state-of-the-art collision repair facility.

Associated with the region’s collision repair industry for the past 42 years, Sam began his automotive journey at an early age working in his family-owned auto repair shop in his native Trinidad and Tobago. That early fascination with the automotive industry soon led him to open his own repair facility in Pickering 40 years back, operating from a small shed at the time.

ProColor Collision Pickering is well-known in the region for its excellent customer service and quicker turnaround time. “People have chosen our shop over the years due to our tireless work ethic and diligence,” says Sam. “When it comes to customer experience and ease of use, I believe in going beyond their expectations and doing things outside of our estimate. I am most proud of never having a screaming, angry customer!”

Over the past two years, Sam and his team have been working hard to remodel the shop so that its function and performance could be optimized. Only recently, they made the major decision to align with ProColor Collision, with Sam saying, “I believe ProColor Collision will open up doors for us that we would have otherwise not have access to.”

As part of the remodeling, the team carried out major upgrades, including installation of a new frame rack and laser measuring system from Car-O-Liner and a new downdraft spray booth from SAIMA. They also invested in improving the flow of the shop and breaking down walls to increase productivity.

“We are excited to welcome Sam and his team to the ProColor Collision family,” said O’Keefe. “Sam has closely witnessed how the region’s automotive industry has evolved over the past decades and remains just as curious even today to learn new technologies and processes. At Fix Network, we are keen to support such enterprising operators in every way we can and build upon their experience.”
