CALGARY (Alberta), November 10, 2020 – Chris Peterson, Regional Vice President for Fix Network – Western Canada, is pleased to welcome ProColor Collision Blackfalds into the network, introducing one of the advanced collision repair facilities in the growing community of Blackfalds, in southern Alberta.
ProColor Collision Blackfalds is a dream come true for franchise owner Frank Tanner. Ever since he started working as an apprentice in a small auto body shop in Red Deer 35 years back, Tanner had always been fascinated by the fast-changing world of collision repair. Over the years, that passion became an obsession, and finally, this month, Tanner opened the doors of his own ProColor Collision facility in his own community.
“For me, vehicles have always been exquisite works of art,” says Tanner. “I entered the collision repair world in 1985 to fuel my curiosity about these magnificent machines, and there has been no looking back since. I always wanted to make things look good. From repairing dents, to engine tune-ups, to painting cars to their original lustre – it’s all about restoring them as masterpieces.”
Though Tanner set up his own body shop in 2019, he saw the advantages of being a part of a franchise network closely before making the ultimate decision to join the ProColor Collision network. “I decided to join the ProColor franchise for a couple reasons, the main being the structure and workflow management systems I knew ProColor had in place. The second was the industry was moving towards banner shops from independent direct repair entities,” he adds.
Prior to deciding to go with ProColor, Tanner had researched major automotive franchises thoroughly, and was impressed by Fix Network’s rigorous training methods, operational processes and marketing support that he had not seen in other franchise networks.
Spread over a total area of almost 19,000 square feet, ProColor Collision Blackfalds boasts the most advanced equipment and trained team members who can handle all types of vehicles – from small sedans to sophisticated motorhomes to five-ton trucks.
ProColor Collison Blackfalds is the only fully licensed shop offering salvaging services, out-of-province and insurance inspections. The shop is also a one-stop destination for all collision and mechanical services, offering its own in-house mechanical services – from wheel alignments, to mechanical repair and full system scanning.
In addition to a brand-new downdraft paint booth capable of accommodating the longest trucks and the largest automotive frame machine to handle five-ton vehicles, the shop also features a four-post 30-ton wheel alignment machine to handle the large pickups and one-ton trucks.
Welcoming Frank Tanner and his team into the ProColor Collision family, Chris Peterson, Regional Vice President for Fix Network – Western Canada, says that ProColor Collision Blackfalds represents a true automotive enthusiast’s passion to support his community while also fueling his love for all things automotive.
“We are inspired by Frank’s enthusiasm to push the boundaries when it comes to introducing the latest concepts in automotive technologies and also support the local economy. Partners such as Frank who have a real passion for the brand will always support ProColor Collision’s expansion across Canada,” Peterson adds.
